|Armament||4-3" 50 A.A., 2 Limbo A/A, Mortar, 2-4 MM Bofors||N/A|
This drawing is offered on 3 sheets at 1/96 scale (1/8"=1ft). General arrangement profile, plan and two sets of hull lines, for a static or operating model, are included.
HMCS Fraser was the last ship of the St Laurent Class. Douglas Munro rendered drawings of this ship as she was the last of the class and there was a lot of interest in trying to preserve the vessel at that time. There are differences between this and the St Laurent plan.
HMCS St Laurent was the first post war destroyer built for the RCN. Her design was a departure from classical destroyer and frigate arrangement, reflecting the requirement to operate in the North Atlantic where ice build up and adverse weather conditions are experienced with some regularity. St. Laurent and her sisters were considered quite advanced when she commissioned in 1955. The drawing offered here depicts her in her original configuration, as she was later converted to the same arrangement as depicted in the Annapolis drawings.
